Well, our long inventory shortage nightmare has come to an end —  black messenger bags are finally back in stock! It only took these manufacturers seven-freakin'-months' worth of excuses, delays, postponements, and outright lies to pony these pretty things up, but they. are. BACK! Those of you who have backordered and been waiting, we will be hard at work this week and printing and shipping out these beauties throughout this week, so keep an eye out for shipment notification emails in the coming days!

If you're unfamiliar with our messenger bags, they're pretty sweet! They're made of very durable 14 oz. cotton canvas (I'm only on my second one in 12 years), , come with a comfy adjustable strap for tall drinks of water and shawties alike, are spacious enough to accommodate a 15" laptop and assorted books with ease, and versatile enough to use for work, school, the gym, or as an overnight/weekend getaway bag. Did I also mention that they're equipped with multiple smaller compartments for phones, snacks, tools, AND that they're machine-washable? True story!

In other less-boring, less-logistical news, Happy National Apple Turnover Day! I love me some pie as much as the next person, but turnovers are great because they make pie portable, hand-held, and much less of a sloppy mess than just digging into a pie plate with your hand.

Portable pie? Sign me up!

Today is also National Graham Cracker Day, National Bikini Day, and National Workaholics Day. I have no particular affinity for graham crackers unless they are part of a pie crust, and I don't have the hips to pull off a bikini, so I guess I'll be spending the holiday working. Classic!

Happy birthday to actress Edith "Edie" Falco, born this day in 1963! Ms Falco is best known for her roles as Carmela Soprano on The Sopranos and Nurse Jackie Peyton on Nurse Jackie. 

A very scratchy, boom-bap birthday to Wu-Tang Clan production mastermind Robert Fitzgerald "RZA" Diggs (aka Bobby Digital), born this day in 1969! In addition to his production work for Wu-Tang's albums, he has also produced many of the solo albums released by fellow members of the group, as well as doing score work for films like Kill Bill, Vol. I, Kill Bill, Vol. II, and Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai. 

Moving along, happy birthday to soccer icon Megan Rapinoe, born this day in 1985! Ms Rapinoe is a 2x World Cup winner and an Olympic gold medalist for the US Women's National Team, and spends her off-the-field time as a vocal activist for LGBTQIA rights and closing the gender pay gap. 

Finally, 誕生日おめでとう to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (Orange Country, California, USA, Earth, Sol, Milky Way, etc.) baseball juggernaut Shohei Ohtani, born this day in 1994! Mr. Ohtani was the 2018 Rookie of the Year winner for the American League, and just became the first Major League Baseball player in history to be sent to the All-Star Game as both a pitcher AND a position player. He's...very, very good.

1. What's your actual day job and what's your dream day job?

I am currently an Office Manager at a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry practice. If I could do anything, I’d love to be an Actress that does primarily local Children’s Theatre. 

 2. What's your biggest pet peeve?

When people mispronounce or misuse words.

3. What experience do you most want to cross off your bucket list?

I would love to go back to London and do ALL OF THE HARRY POTTER THINGS!

4. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?

Invisibility. I would only use my powers for good, like collecting secret recipes.

I’m a vodka girl and love a good Moscow Mule.

I can sing the National Anthem with my mouth closed.
