😬 So many crises, so little time to catastrophize! 🤯

GIRD YOURSELF 🥃

It's a good thing today is National Taco Day and National Cinnamon Roll Day and National Vodka Day, because I see some stress-consumption on the horizon.

Remember, though — all things in moderation!

This isn't the day for moderation GIF

It could be, though! I believe in you!

If you're worried about things like Covid variants, government shutdowns, defaulting on the national debt, and imminent supply chain collapse, I'm right there with you!

If you're NOT worried about any of the above...please, teach the rest of us your secrets!

1. What's your actual day job and what's your dream day job?

I'm a mom to a 7 year old, a dog, half a cat (we share custody with my next door neighbor, who she likes more than us), and about 80 houseplants.

I'm also a metalsmith. I make jewelry, mostly out of silver. You'd think that would make me a silversmith, but those people actually make flatware. Weird.

My dream job would be staging houses. I love decorating — especially finding odd knick knacks and tucking them in with normal stuff.

2. What's your biggest pet peeve?

Flakes. Not the dandruffy kind or the cereal kind…the people who don't do what they say they will.

3. What's the most useful piece of advice you've ever received?

When you're green you grow, and when you're ripe, you rot. I take it to mean that there's always more to learn, and to never stop being curious.

4. What's a book you think the Boredwalk community should read?

Unpleasant Ways To Die. It's actually a picture book, so even the youngest community members can enjoy it.

5. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?

Teleportation. Because flying sucks. Blink me to my vacation, please.

6. You can curse your nemesis with a minor annoyance for eternity; what do you choose?

Never choosing the right key on the first try.

7. What experience do you most want to cross off your bucket list?

Swimming in carbonated water. Just imagine it.

(Editor's note: I'm not usually one for tickling, but I'd make an exception for this...)

8. Clear up a misconception (about you, your job, where you are from, some other topic you know a lot about).

I never mean "Ducking" in a text message. Ever.

(Same, Sarah. Same.)

9. Where can the rest of the Boredwalk community find you?

You can find me on Instagram at @lionandlambstudios
