We're not team players.

Boredwalk Not A Team Player Introvert Athletic Shirt

Well, that's not entirely true. We're just very selective about who we want as teammates; jerkstores, haters, and basics to the left, please!

Hopefully you had a happy July 4th! If you spent it like us, you stayed in, ate salad, watched classic Tom & Jerry cartoons and cheesy horror flicks, and generally avoided fireworks and humanity. You know — classic Boredwalk.

Fittingly, this week on the podcast we celebrate the 30th anniversary of that timeless totem to misanthropy, Seinfeld, by chatting with Jason Richards. Jason has worked in entertainment for years in a host of different capacities, from writing, directing, producing, managing social media, and more, but he's perhaps best known as the creator of the Twitter parody account @Seinfeld2000 — a reimagining of the modern world viewed through a (misspelled, grammatically atrocious, but still venal & self-absorbed) Seinfeldian lens. It both satirizes parody and parodies satire. Probably! Words have no meaning anymore.

In addition to Seinfeld2000, we talk to Jason about his time more or less running things at MuchMusic, Canada's answer to the question "what if MTV and VH1 still showed music videos, but with more 'eh' and 'aboot'?", his contributions to beloved comedy content hub SuperDeluxe (including Joanne the Scammer), poutine, Tim Horton's, and everything else remotely Canada-related I could think to ask him about. We also share a customer review and read select comments from this week's Question of the Day posts; possibly yours!
