Stuck for conversation topics? 🤔

WE'VE GOT SOMETHING FOR THAT

Happy Bloomsday! Apparently this is a national observance in Dublin, Ireland commemorating novelist James Joyce's first seggsual encounter with his muse (and eventual wife) Nora Barnacle. Weird!

Here in the US it is National Fudge Day AND National Take Back the Lunch Break Day. Perhaps take it back by indulging in some fudge in lieu of healthier foodstuffs!
While you're at it, take one of those sweet Delve Decks with you to lunch and ask your coworkers fun questions! Grace from the content team and I just did this the other day — minus the lunching — during the podcast, and it was a very therapeutic discourse (assuming complaining about other humans is what passes for therapy).

Speaking of the podcast, check out the aforementioned latest episode! This week I chatted with Grace about wastes of time that annoy us the most, things we wish people would stop bragging about, the benefits and drawbacks of not drinking, and my struggle planning a cross-country road trip. Listen on your favorite podcasting platform or, even better, watch us on YouTube!

Let's kick off the weekend with a few famous June 16th birthdays and historical facts to impress your friends with:

The Ford Motor Company incorporated on this day in 1903

Birthday cake is in the offing for: Scottish philosopher & economist Adam Smith of The Wealth of Nations fame (1723), novelist Joyce Carol Oates (1938), songwriter & producer Lamont Dozier of Motown fame (1941), singer-songwriter Eddie Levert of the O'Jays (1942), rapper & producer Tupac Shakur (1971), and actor John Cho of Harold & Kumar and Star Trek fame (1972)

Pour one out for: Baseball legend Tony Gwynn, who passed away way too young on this day in 2014. Don't do dip, kids!
OK, that's it for this week! We'll be back here in your inbox on Monday with another email and (hopefully) a fresh customer Q&A! If you'd like to be featured in an upcoming email reply to this and let us know!

Peace, love, and lunch breaks,

Matt
