🥑 Yes we know guac is extra, but...

WE ❤️ AVOCADOS

Happy National Avocado Day! People have been eating avocados since at least 8,000 BCE, so it's definitely a food with staying power. They're a great addition to toast, smoothies, or salads, plus the American Heart Association found that eating an avocado daily can improve cholesterol levels. This is great news because from now on I am going to be referring to my guac-covered nachos as "health food."

1. What's your actual day job and what's your dream day job?

My most recent job was one that struck fear into the hearts of 16 yr olds...I worked for the Department of Licensing in Washington for 22 years. Then I retired...so my NEW job is figuring out what I'm going to do every day. Or what I'm NOT going to do! That's my current dream job.

2. What's your biggest pet peeve?

Right now, it's a radio commercial for an easy $750 cash...which gets repeated ad nauseam. It's a fricking scam!
3. What's the most useful piece of advice you've ever received?

Just because she gave birth to you doesn't mean you have to love her. It freed me.

4. What's a book you think the Boredwalk community should read?

Lawdy, there are sooo many. Print out a list of banned books and start there.

5. If you could have any super power what would it be and why?

Pithing the brains of those who believe in MAGA...
6. You can curse your nemesis with a minor annoyance for eternity; what do you choose?

A small rock in their shoe that they can never find.

7. What is something you wish you could go back in time and say to your younger self?

It's not that you're not enough for those stupid men. You're TOO MUCH and they wouldn't know how to deal with you. (Happily I found a guy who can and I married him. 40 years next May!)
8. What experience do you most want to cross off your bucket list?

Travel to Africa and see my totem animal in their native habitat...HIPPOS!

9. What is a surprising fact about you?

I work with my hands, not only with fabric and girly stuff but with gears and power tools just as easily.

10. Where can the rest of the Boredwalk community find you?

Recently relocated from Seattle to outside Tucson...so working on a project (a friend said if i ever run out of projects, I'll die) or bobbing around in our pool!
